December 26, 2007

Did everyone have a Merry Christmas? We did here. We had just our family and Larry's mom for Christmas lunch. We were at Dianne's house for Christmas Eve and had a great time and tons of food both times.
Diane Lindsey is having outpatient surgery on her left hand this Thursday. It is to repair damage done by the Rheumatoid arthritis. She will be out of work about 2 weeks. Please remember her in your prayers that this will be successful and she will have more use of that hand.

Monday, December 10

I don't have a whole lot to say tonight. The December Event starts in one hour and I am looking forward to the party food! I had the grandboys today so I am catching my breath (ask Dianne H. what goes on here!) They keep you on your toes for sure and I can't get on my toes as fast as I once did! I am posting an interesting picture though!

Monday, December 3

Ladies,
Please remember our December Event NEXT Monday night, December 10, at Lorraine's house at 6:30. Bring your favorite holiday food and the recipe (enough copies for everyone). Beverages are provided. We will be having our ornament swap also. Lorraine needs to know by the 6th if you are coming and what you are bringing.
January 2008 is still open for someone to plan. Also, March and July still need someone to plan. You know who you are--if you haven't planned a month or if 2 people took a previous month, you need to sign for another one. Our new calendar will not start over again until September 2008!
Have a good week everyone!
Sylvia

November 26

Hi Violets!
Everyone please remember to let Nancy know if you will be going to her house for the November Event this Friday night. I know that some of you have not let her know if you can or can't. She needs to know so she will know how much food to prepare.
Remember the December Event on the 10th. There will be an ornament swap that night. More details will follow.
Have a great week!
Love,
The Queen

Hi Ladies!

I do not have much news to report this week. I hope everyone survived Halloween! We had fun at Trunk or Treat with the grandchildren. Next week I, along with several other Violets, will be on the Dalraida bus trip on our way to Pigeon Forge. If there is any news, I will post to the blog on Sunday. If there is not, I will probably skip it. Please, everyone behave in our absence.

Love,

The Queen

Monday, October 29

Hi Violets!

I hope this new format is working well for everyone. It was very easy to post the pictures after the party last week. It may have been our best attended event ever so ya'll know what fun we had.

Dianne M. is doing well after her foot surgery. I did not talk to JoAnn after her cataract surgery, but I saw her at church Sunday across the auditorium so she must be doing well also.

As soon as I hear about our November Event I will let you know.

Have a good week!
Love,
Sylvia

Violets Halloween Party at Teri's

We had a great party tonight at Teri's. We had tons of delicious food and most of us experienced Bunco for the first time. Everyone's costumes were outstanding!

This is Linda Jackson's new grandbabies! They were born on the 17th. They are Minnie Beck and Joel Norman. Things are going to be busy for ALL the Jackson's!

Monday News October 22

Hi Violets!

This is my latest attempt to deliver our weekly news and also be able to post pictures. I could manage all the aspects of the web site but could not get the pictures on it. My daughter and her friends all have a blog and she says this is "do-able"! We shall see!

Our October Event will be tomorrow at Teri's house. Don't forget to bring a finger food dish. Drinks and desserts will be provided. I do not have directions to her house.

JoAnn had cataract surgery last week and is doing well. She will have the other eye fixed this week. Dianne M. will have foot surgery this week.

I am going to play with this Blog and see if I can make it do what I want. i will keep you posted.

Love,

The Queen
